he's 36-year-old gary atkinson of san francisco. today he was charged with several criminal counts including kidnapping with force and three covents rape of a 16- year-old severel autistic girl who according to her father has the mental capacity of a 6 or 7- year-old. police say last tuesday around 7:00 p.m. the 16-year-old left fred finch facility and headed toward the fruitvale bart station. she was followed by youth center employees who lost sieghtsd of her. 48 hours later she was found found on a muni train in san francisco. surveillance cameras helped identify atkinson who was arrested sunday night near the same bart station. he does have a criminal record. >> some of our officers recognized mr. atkinson. they then based on the photo that was sent out was able to identify mr. atkinson. some of our officers have had previous contact with him. >> police wouldn't say what his prior crimes are but a court clerk says he does have one felony conviction. back to you. >>> oakland council members are scheduled to tackle the ongoing dog
